Village Foundation Announces Raffle for Kate Voegele and Jordin Sparks Concert
The Family of Kate Voegele has generously donated four tickets to Kate Voegele Concert at the House of Blues, E. Fourth St. Downtown Cleveland on June 17, 2010. Tickets will be available for a $5.00 donation to The Village Foundation on Thursday, May 13th. Readers can send a check made out to The Village Foundation Raffle , P.O. 40122, Bay Village, OH 44140 and include a self addressed, stamped envelope. Local ticket sales to be announced.
Kate Voegele, a Bay High School graduate, has written the lyrics to many songs. She is a composer and performer. Kate plays the role of Mia, on One Tree Hill. Her album, A Fine Mess, was released on May 18, 2009. Some of the songs from the new album were featured on the TV show One Tree Hill prior to and immediately after the release of the album including "Manhattan From The Sky", "Lift Me Up" and "Sweet Silver Lining".
After the release of A Fine Mess, Kate went on tour throughout the States and Europe. The tour started at the House of Blues in Cleveland on October 7th 2009 and ending at Academy 2 in Dublin and passed through Germany, France and England. The first event in England, at The Borderline in Charing Cross on November 30th was sold out.
There will be three prizes. First prize is two tickets to the concert and two CDs that will be autographed the night of the show. The 2nd prize is two tickets to the concert. All four raffle ticket winners will be invited to meet Kate following the performance. The third prize is a book of her songs, for piano, guitar, and vocal , two Kate Voegele t-shirts, an autographed poster and a bag. The Village Foundation is a 501©(3) not for profit organization dedicated to maintaining the quality of life in Bay Village by supporting volunteer artistic, cultural and social projects and scholarships.
